A recurring question I get is : what camera do you use.
To me, a camera is a tool, so I use what's I'm most comfortable with. I don't believe more gear will make you or me a better photographer. You make the picture, not the tool you use. You can create amazing pictures using a cheap old broken camera if you know how to use it and know what you want to do with it.


After running a schmuzillion rolls of film through various cameras, I switched to digital in 2004. I still like film, but digital is best for me at the moment.


So, at the moment I use Canon cameras (5DmarkII, 1DMarkIII, and a 350D modified for infrared). Most of my lenses are from Canon.


For lighting, I use elinchrom strobes, or speedlite flashes triggered by pocket wizards or elinchrom skyports or a pc cord. Or a maglite for light painting.
